All The Devils by Jonathan Larkin
What you’re about to experience isn’t the finished play. It isn’t a production or a staged reading – it’s a constellation of movements, images, and ideas — fragments developed over a four-day workshop. All The Devils exists in full on the page. But this week has been about discovering how it breathes through rhythm, gesture, sound, and image. We’re testing how the play’s sensual, volatile world finds theatrical life through physicality, music, language, and design.
The process has drawn on the theatrical provocations of Artaud and Brecht, two seemingly opposing forces whose methods have helped us find both intensity and distance, immersion and reflection. Their influence has shaped our rehearsal language, inviting us to oscillate between raw physical impulse and structural awareness, seduction and estrangement.
