David Hoyle: Associate Artist

About David Hoyle

As a cabaret star, actor and visual artist, Hoyle’s infamous alter-ego ‘The Divine David’ transported him from radical alternative settings in the ’80s to the studios of Channel 4 in the ’90s. For the last four decades, Hoyle has queered the boundaries between live art, performance, theatre and cabaret – conquering nightlife around the world and working extensively in film and TV.

The Associate Artist relationship has supported the making of various new projects:

Keep It In The Family 2011

Diamond 2017 was commissioned by Queer contact, Soho Theatre and Queer Arts Festivals in Macedonia and Slovenia, funded by the British Council had long term impact of informing cultural policy on LBGTIQ issues.

A Grand Auction of My Life, a livestream in association with HOME, was viewed by a global audience becoming a cult lockdown sensation in 2020.
