Coming together on Saturday 22nd May are the indisputable talents of the performance art provocateur Ursula Martinez; gloriously brash femme punk band hooker and Australian circus icon Jess Love, with local legend , David Hoyle hosting the proceedings for a night of fantastic music and subversive art thrills.

THE quietly outrageous Ursula Martinez first appeared as part of Queer Up North ten years ago, having emerged from the ‘Duckie’ gay cabaret scene in London.
Since then, this astute entertainer has gone on to show her work all over the world and to star in the new-wave vaudeville variety show, La Clique.

She also has a rather famous trademark part of her show.

Known as Hanky Panky, it’s a magic striptease which essentially consists of Ursula shedding her clothing as a red hanky is made to disappear, only to reappear in her skirt, then her bra, then her knickers, then, by the time she’s fully nude . . . well, I’m sure you get the picture!

Enduring a protracted career that has included stage, television, and film, documentary you name it. David will sink his remaining nicotine stained teeth into any medium. A vampire’s kiss coupled with the soft caress of a moth’s wing.
Flamboyant, colourful occasionally ascorbic! David fuses the DNA of both the raven and the peacock. Strutting, extemporising, juggling with many issues be they banal of contentious David will satisfy your senses on so many different levels.

David has endured an international career that has taken him around the globe. Recently he has been proudly associated with the Victoria Theatre Production Company (now Campo), based in Ghent, Belgium, in a group devised piece entitled ‘For all the Wrong Reasons’ which took him to Belgium, Holland, France and Singapore and also Newcastle.
David’s television career debuted with ‘comedy Nation’ for the BBC produced by high powered impresario Gary Reich. David then went to channel 4 to create the cult series ‘The Divine David Presents’ directed by Lucien James for World of Wonder. David then created ‘The Divine David Heals’ featuring his mute stooge Jay Cloth directed by Jacques Peretti for Watchtower Productions. After a six year hiatus David fell into another cult show namely ‘Nathan Barley’ written by Chris Morris and Charlie Brooker for channel 4. David played the part of Bonkers Rock Super Star – Doug Rocket to the immense delight of millions both at home and abroad.
