The Holly Johnson Story exhibition celebrated Holly’s creative genius and marked the 40th anniversary of the release of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s album Welcome to the Pleasuredome, which featured songs such as Relax, Two Tribes, and The Power of Love.
The exhibition charted Holly’s early personal life and career, from a young musician to an internationally renowned, openly gay star living in the public eye. It explored the price of fame, the challenge of coping with an HIV+ diagnosis, and unwanted negative press, all while forging a path as a monumental LGBTQ+ icon.
