“ Magic Arm’s fragile melodies are a must see” – The Independent
“one of the most innovative and sparkling new musicians in Manchester”

Two years in the making, Magic Arm’s debut EP, out this spring on Switchflicker,
finally unveils his sparkling collection of sinister pop and new psyche
folk gems.
Marc Rigelsford is the man behind Magic Arm's eclectic harmonies and he’s
strode on from his 4 track recordings days with Escape Pod, losing none
of his lyrical insight or risk-taking on route.
The new 7 track EP features everything from Beach Boy’s-influenced rockers,
to ballads that would make Jose Gonzalez weep, but despite their potency,
everything is branded with his melancholic humour, from lyrics to his
emotive, solo version of LCD Soundsystem's ‘Daft Punk Is Playing at My
House.’
And his solo career has gone from, strength to strength this year too. A debut gig at the Sounds from the Other City festival in April 06 lead to support with Ariel Pink, Six Organs of Admittance and John Stammers, as well as countless, sold out appearances. Grizzly Bear, King Biscuit Time and The Earlies are all passionate fans, and with his slightly shambolic charm, and innovative use of children’s instruments on stage, he wins more praise with each outing.

Artists: Sealed with a loving flick“MAGIC ARM seem to reach for the sky without breaking a sweat on ‘Outdoor Games’ with warm, multilayered vocals and a disarmingly simple melody that continuously builds, adding more and more instrumentation before breaking down into a subtle resolution.” "
“MAGIC ARM’s folky leanings and slightly moody organ make for sunny, reflective listening.”
